Dragon Boat East invites enthusiasts of all skill levels to the tenth Annual Dragon Beast Summer Training Camp, held on Lake Banook in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia each summer.   We pride ourselves on keeping it small so you have a chance to work with all the coaches, and get to know all the other camp participants.   

 

Participants will receive International Level coaching during the week with 10 Dragon Boat sessions, one OC6 outrigger session, two individual technical review sessions (including video), and one optional session on Wednesday afternoon.   There will also be optional early morning yoga sessions.  This camp offers athletes the rare opportunity to participate in a focused training camp setting during the season, and to immediately implement fitness and technical advances made during the camp when participants return home. 

 

We like to provide lots of social opportunities - We start with a reception for introductions, and mid week have a dinner that gives everyone a chance to socialize and relax.  We end the week by racing together in the Beast Cup, followed by lunch at Boondocks in beautiful Eastern Passage.

 

Our home base for the camp is the Dragon Boat Training Center in Graham's Grove on Lake Banook - home of the Dragon Beasts.  The Training Center provides a spot to hang out if you want to stay till your next session - there is always a pot of coffee on, and warm chocolate cookies at the end of every day.  We'd love it if you would come be our guests!
